Klopp vs. Bielsa: A battle which can renew Liverpool and Leeds’ rivalry.

Marcelo Bielsa managed Leeds United to promotion from the EFL Championship to the Premier League after the Elland Road outfit were away from the top flight for 16 years.

Leeds are all set to play their first Premier League game against PL champions Liverpool at Anfield. Bielsa will hope for a longer stay in the top flight after being able to spend handsomely in the ongoing transfer window.

Going into the game, Leeds have things to worry about when they face Jurgen Klopp’s dominant Liverpool. The first thing to worry about is Liverpool’s stunning home record.

Since their last defeat against Crystal Palace in April 2017, Liverpool have 36 wins and 10 draws in 46 fixtures. They have remained unbeaten at Anfield which is an extra-ordinary record to boast.

On the other hand, Leeds are on the same track. They won the Championship with 10 points ahead of second-placed West Brom. Not only winning six games in a row but conceded only twice during their special run, which was vital to promotion.

The question is can Bielsa defeat Klopp?

The Reds were looking to end the 2019/20 season without a defeat until Watford beat them at Vicarage Road in February.

Also, they were ousted from all the domestic cup competitions along with the UEFA Champions League. They lost six games out of their last 15 showing a dip in form. Still, the Reds are hard to beat at home.

They were able to score 85 goals, the second-highest in the league. They too boast the defensive record from. It will be a tall order for the away team in Saturday’s opening game. Or will it now?
