The Cottage is shocking us once again as they pull off a loan deal for PSG goalkeeper, Alphonse Areola. Ahead of his surprising switch to Fulham, Alphonse bought a property in London.
The stopper served as a backup for Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois last season. He arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu as part of Paris Saint-Germain’s deal to sign Keylor Navas in 2019.
The Ligue 1 champions sent Areola to the Spanish capital on a loan deal as well. Following this, RMC states the Champions League finalists have no plans to keep the goalkeeper at Parc des Princes.
Adding to the recent news surrounding the goalkeeper he was offered to Arsenal, who were also said to be interested in signing the shot-stopper. However, they have now been edged out by their London rivals Fulham.

Emiliano Martinez, Arsenal‘s second-choice wants to move after the club failed to assure him regular first-team minutes ahead of Bernd Leno.
Martinez played the final games of the 2019/20 season after Leno picked up an injury during the second half.
While taking up the space between the sticks in Leno’s absence, Emi played a crucial role in Arsenal’s FA Cup and Community Shield triumph. This news of him wanting to leave and Areola signing for Fulham comes as a major blow for the Gunners.
The French stopper spent his last campaign with Real Madrid and had only four La Liga starts. He will look to get more game time with the Londoners as he plans to keep his place as the third choice for France, for the upcoming Euro 2020.
The London club has the option to buy if the loan spell is successful. The manager Scott Parker will hope to find some stability in this department for the upcoming season.
