Beth England crowned as the PFA Women’s Player of the Year 2020

Chelsea’s Beth England has been announced as the PFA Women’s Player of the Year along with Kevin De Bruyne in the Men’s division.

Chelsea’s women secured the Super League and League Cup, and now they add another feather to their cap with the PFA’s Player of the Year award picked up by Bethany England.

England (not the team but the lady England) scored 21 goals in all competitions last season during which Chelsea won the double. She successfully beat Arsenal duo – Vivianne Miedema and Kim Little to the individual award.

Beth explained that she thinks next season will be the biggest season yet for the competition as the teams have strengthened dramatically and it will be very exciting for the fans.

Beth England’s 2019/2020 season

She had a superb goal in 2019/20 opening match of the WSL season from 30-yards out against Tottenham Hotspur leading to a 1-0 victory over the North London club.

She finished the season as Chelsea’s top scorer for a second consecutive turn. Beth was also rewarded for her remarkable form throughout the campaign and was announced the Barclays’ FA Women’s Super League Player of the Season.

The previous seasons showed her quality on the pitch, and displayed she is not ready to stop improving with each new season. Fans and the club are excited about what she holds for us in the up and coming football events.

Chelsea, again dominating the Team of the Year 2020 accolade in Women’s Super League Team with six players out of eleven.
