Transfer News: Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin in talks with PSG
The exit of Hector Bellerin will gather pace over the next couple of days after the two clubs have officially started dialogues.
The recently crowned FA Community Shield winners are burning the night oil as they try to wrap up all their business in the transfer window before the new season kicks off. As they welcome new defender Gabriel Magalhaes, they prepare up to say goodbye to Hector Bellerin.
The right back could bring to an end a six-year stay at the Emirates if the deal with Paris Saint-Germain goes through. The talks have just initiated between the English and French club, but the idea of him heading to Paris has been a prospect all summer.

"Paris Saint-Germain have approached Arsenal to express their interest in signing Hector Bellerin and the clubs are now engaged in dialogue aimed at finding an agreement in the coming weeks. The French champions are long-term admirers of Bellerin and identified him as their preferred right-back to replace Thomas Meunier, who left as a free agent in June to join Borussia Dortmund."
Arsenal willing to extend his stay
As per the Atheltic, they believe Arsenal wants him to stay but will not block a move if that’s what he desires most. Mikel Arteta has used the Spanish fullback as captain in the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Since being fully fit for a longer period, spending more time on the pinch while Kieran Tierney operates on the opposite flank, the team has look compact in defence and threatening on the counter.
However, if he stays, it leaves Arteta with an Ainsley Maitland-Niles problem and the risk of losing Hector to a long-term injury. The talented Englishman was prepared to leave the club as well, seeking regular first-team action. The manager has offered him a more senior role with the idea of Hector, not in the team or squad selection.
Adding to this, Bellerin has not finished more than 19 Premier League outings for the past three seasons. Last season he completed 15, the term before that only five matches, and the one prior to that 19. This is a worrying stat.
"Arsenal would like Bellerin to stay and are prepared to discuss a new contract, but they will not stand in the way of a deal being struck if a suitable fee is received for the 25-year-old Spaniard.PSG’s pursuit is set to intensify with a formal offer and it is expected that Bellerin would be open to a fresh challenge should the sides reach a consensus. While it is likely that the initial bid will fall below Arsenal’s asking price, there is optimism that a middle ground can be established amicably. (VIa: theathletic.com)"
Hector Bellerin has been linked with previous exits to Spain and Italy, as well as the club looking increasingly likely to sign him now, PSG. The Gunners would be happy with either a Hector stay or a Bellerin departure.
They recover more funds for players they have been linked with in recent weeks. Expecting major developments to happen soon in this transfer dealing.
