Best Disappearing Act – Tammy Abraham (FWD, 153 points, 7.0m->8.0m (GW13)->7.3m)

Frank Lampard arrived back at Stamford Bridge with a lot of fanfare and a mandate to bring through the youth team stars, mainly because they were under a transfer ban last summer! Tammy Abraham was the first academy product to really shine under his new responsibility.

Frank gave him a few games to work his way into the league and it took a couple for him to find his footing, but then he really found them! Abraham scored 7 goals in 3 matches and 4 in the 10 after that! He was the name on everyone’s lips and the star in everyone’s team. Then it stopped.

Tammy got a couple more goals around Christmas and then disappeared. No goals at all between GW22 and GW34, including several games where he didn’t feature at all while Giroud worked his way back into the first XI.

Wenger once said you pay for the education of young players with points, and it showed for Chelsea this season. Maybe Tammy will be a viable option next year, or maybe he will be back out on loan now the transfer ban is lifted and Timo Werner is in West London.

Most Fashionably Late – Anthony Martial (MID, 200 points, 7.5m->8.5m)

Martial was reclassified at the beginning of last season, prompting some speculation but not a lot of return as he was used sparingly by Mourinho. OGS took time to get the best from him, but in the second half of the season, Martial was a must-own (we’ll touch on why in a minute)!

He was pushed into the main striker role, allowing Rashford to play wide and cut in, building a good relationship between the two and allowing the Frenchman to shine. He will surely be re-reclassified next season as a striker, but if not I would pick him before anyone else!
