Red Devils are licking their lips over the prospect of Jadon Sancho featuring at the Old Trafford.

As the perennial saga surrounding Jadon Sancho’s purported move to Manchester United poised for the conclusion, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have to make a few decisions on the summer departures as the rebuild job continues at Old Trafford.

Not only is United’s squad bloated with fringe players, but there are also a few upcoming talents who need consistent playing time – which is unlikely to happen with United’s senior side – to continue their progress. Management needs to sort out a clear path for their academy prospects to establish themselves in the first team.

Loaning them out is a viable option for the players who are stuck at a level between first-team football and reserves. A spell away from Old Trafford at an intermediary club would ensure a smooth transition. Dylan Levitt, James Garner, and Tahith Chong are among those whom United are seeking suitable temporary clubs.

For Man United, it has been a tough job to convince their academy starlets to pursue the career path they have sketched, ending up with an established first-team status. During this process, Angel Gomes – one of the highly-rated prospects – has chosen against extending his stay at Old Trafford.

Recently, academy graduate Brandon Williams secured an enhanced deal owing to excellent performances since making his debut in September. The left-back has pushed Luke Shaw into raising his performances by staking a claim at the starting-spot.

Tahith Chong, who penned a long-term deal at United after intense dialogues, has found it difficult to break into the first-team ahead of Daniel James and Mason Greenwood. As things stand, the Dutch youth international is seeking a temporary move away to improve his skill sets and make a prominent challenge next season.

Werder Bremen – who are seeking options to replace Milot Rashica – could be a potential destination for the 20-year-old. Chong has had offers from Eredivisie clubs in the past, too, and a move to his homeland could be another option.

According to BILD, Tahith Chong could secure a loan move away to Germany as early as this week with Man United preparing for their Europa League fixture against LASK Linz.
