Klopp’s first full season in England got underway and during this period, Lallana would play a vital role in the Reds push for Champions League football.

The Reds undoubtedly got the best and the worst out of Adam, and this was by a long mile his best. He came one shy of equalling his Premier League best with eight goals and six assists in 31 games.

When you look back at these numbers, you would think what’s so great about a goal contribution of 14 goals in a season. However, it was the timing of some of his goals, coming in important moments.

Most memorial moments

There will always be two mighty standout moments that pop up in the mind straight away when you think of the attacking midfielder. There were obviously more, but none of them will top these two, as they have been written in Liverpool’s folklore for centuries to come.

More from Liverpool FC

The first is the goal that led to Klopp breaking his specs in the 2015-2016 run. Liverpool needed a string of victories to get into the Champions League and was up against a Norwich side capable of scoring fluently if they were in the mood. Much to our entertainment, both teams were in the mood.

The final score was 4-5 to Liverpool at Carrow Road. An assist and a late goal in the 85th minute helped his team take three points in their pursuit of Europe’s biggest stage. The next was more recent and his involved in the Premier League title run.

Adam came on as a second-half substitution in a game where Liverpool was down 1-0 to their oldest rivals, Man United. The Reds risked losing their first match and needed some help to get something back from the game.

The midfielder came on and got on the end of an Andrew Robertson cross in the dying minutes of the game and stole a point to take back with them to Anfield. It was a marvellous switch by Jurgen Klopp and a masterful one-touch finish by Adam. He left Old Trafford shell-shocked and stunned!
