Liverpool has escaped being named banter club of the decade by fine margins. They can now smell Premier League glory is around the corner.
The current Premier League runaways were a couple of decisions away from losing what’s supposed to be their premiership-winning campaign. A bad break after a marvellous run saw life stop, sports paused, and fans lose their seats.
It hasn’t been an easy time for many of us across the globe. While the Reds were at threat of losing their potential title, other individuals were losing their lives, jobs, or sense of sanity. COVID-19 really brought forth the most undecided period of our lives.
Move on and it’s a bit clearer for Liverpool
Liverpool was the last English club to play a professional fixture in Europe. This was back in March, where they lost the final leg in their Champions League round of 16 clash against Atletico Madrid, 3-2.

Since then, everybody has just played the waiting game, especially Liverpool, who was the most affected out of the clubs in England. But this is only considering the league situation. Other clubs also effected are those vying for European football and those fighting to stay afloat in the Premier League, trying to avoid relegation.
Now Premier League football has a return date set for June 17, a get back guide for clubs to follow in order to maintain a safer return, and new time slots for kickoff. This has eradicated the question of if and has now changed to when will Liverpool be lifting the EPL title.
No stopping this party
The Merseyside folk has waited 30 years for this. Do you think waiting an extra couple of months to be named champions of England is going to break their spirits? Nope. The real stress, however, was the fact there will be NO after-party once they are named kings of England.
For football to resume, it has been done under the strict rule of no fans being allowed, as social distancing practices are still in full effect. Thankfully, the boss has come out and made it known there will be a time all of Liverpool will celebrate their great triumph together.
Nothing will stop them from having the fun they deserve. Not even the timing of their trophy parade.
"That you can’t celebrate in the way you’ve always dreamed of, that’s not nice, I totally understand that. I feel the same way. It’s not that my ideal is to celebrate alone in the stadium, then just drive home.If this is the 12th or 13th matchday of next season and we want to celebrate it – who is going to stop it? Then we still have the trophy and then we can drive it around town and stand on the bus. (Via: Sky Sports)"
Next year it is
The good news about this? The venue is in Liverpool. The party? The trophy parade. The time? Anytime it safe to do so and when they feel fit. Who is all invited? Anybody and everybody. Who’s complaining? Not a soul. Who has sour grapes about this? Only their bitter rivals.
