Thomas Meunier becomes a free agent in the summer. The player feels his time is up with PSG in France and the Premier League is the most persuasive place for him to play his trade at next.
Tottenham and Man United have been the clubs most link with the player, with Chelsea coming in as the pot-stirrer. It is said, Spurs lead the race over their English rivals but “fresh enquiries” have been made for the Belgian by Chelsea and Man United.

Current Thomas Meunier situation
Chelsea offers the best package for the player when taking their current standing into consideration. Of the Premier League trinity showing interest in him, the Blues offer Champions League football, plus a chance for regular first-team football.
Spurs offer first-team opportunity, but no CL ball. They sit the furthest away from it and are under new management. They hit the restart button before the COVID-19 pandemic when they sacked Mauricio Pochettino and hired Mourinho.
If they lose Harry Kane, it would be a long time before Thomas is playing European football again. Man United sits three points off Chelsea’s fourth place. Their late turnaround in form shows promise they could still make the final UCL spot, if/when football returns.
What they cannot warrant is consistent first-team game with Aaron Wan-Bissaka a player you cannot leave out of the lineup. He would be limiting his own game time if he made the United switch.
Chelsea’s had continuous problems at the back, the need for players such as Meunier is essential to them progressing from this season. They too need to save money with all the buys they need to make. The Stamford Bridge side could be the club to steal the transfer of the full-back off Tottenham’s hands.
One way or the other… The chances of him joining the Premier League is looking good. Juventus is said to be the only other team in for him outside of the EPL.
