Wolves must brace themselves for many Raul Jimenez bids
Raul Jimenez has been one of the breakthrough stories since hitting the Premier League scene. Due to this, Wolves must worry and brace for many tempting bids coming their way in the next transfer window.
Jimenez has been an important key to Nuno’s success since bringing Wolverhampton back to the English Top Flight. The Mexican has proven to be a consistent goalscorer but it doesn’t stop there. He is an excellent dribbler of the ball and could probably link-up telepathically with any world-class forward out there.
It is safe to say, Raul Jimenez is able to lead in any top team across Europe as long as he gets played. It truly was only a matter of time before the Wanderers gained the attention from the rest of the world, and started receiving interest for their top players at the club.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, news broke of Real Madrid and their interest in the Mexican. They are in search of some more firepower, loading their list full of possible striker targets. If they are showing interest in him already, who wouldn’t be?
Following the Real rumours, Man City’s Ilkay Gundogan is the latest to show admiration for the striker, talking about how he would fit in well at Man City, and that he reminds him of Robert Lewandowski (this is where it starts, where players and clubs start showing public affection of opposition players or managers).
"For a striker he is so mobile, but also physically so good and talented technically on the ball. I can imagine him playing with us.Maybe [he’s] not on that level yet, but he reminds me a little bit of [Robert] Lewandowski because I’ve played with him. In terms of style I think there is still a lot of potential. It’s so difficult to predict but I think [Jimenez] would get a chance in every single top-six team and there’s a good possibility he could do well. Soon things could change
Raul is 28-years-old and is at the peak of his career. He is at the age where clubs far bigger than Wolves go sniffing around for players punching above their weight as he has been doing since 2018. Nuno’s men have not shown signs of slowing down on their success in the past two seasons.
If they continue to do as well as they are now, and continue to climb the Premier League ladder, they might be regarded as a proper contender. However, there are six clubs in England who are always favourites above the rest, making it difficult for teams like Wolves to find ultimate glory.
It is certainly easy to see a Pep-Jimenez link-up, which would inevitably improve his skill set. The Mexican has hit the target 26 times in his 67 appearances for the club. He has further chipped in with 13 assists and has helped Wolves to sixth place in the Premier League standings this season.
Any more seasons where they fall outside of the Champions League spots or don’t come home with any silverware, star players will look elsewhere. Wolves must brace for impact and start thinking about plan B, C, D, if they are cautious and smart enough to prep for life without Jimenez.
