Olivier Giroud on his way out of Stamford Bridge after agreeing personal terms with Inter
It appears Inter and Antonio Conte has finally got their striker target in Olivier Giroud. The player will leave Chelsea in the summer as he becomes a free agent.
The Daily Mail and several outlets have reported we have travelled back in time, just afore the Coronavirus outbreak, and we are stuck in the January transfer window. Bruno Fernandes is the top transfer talk, but a move for the Portuguese seems to have paused because of the clubs unable to agree on a few million pounds.
The other talks taking over is Olivier Giroud and his willingness to leave Stamford Bridge after falling out of favour with the manager and club legend, Frank Lampard. He has played second fiddle to Tammy Abrahams since the season kicked off and this has led to speculations the striker is ready to quite the Bridge.
Move on some days and personal terms agreed

After the reports of the Frenchman’s desire to departure, news surfaces Giroud and Inter Milan have agreed personally on a deal to bring him over to the San Siro before the window shuts. As per the player, a reunion with his previous manager who brought him to Chelsea back in 2018 is at the top of his list.
Sound familiar yet?
Move on another few days and… Olivier has a deal in place to sign for Tottenham and work with new manager Jose Mourinho. On the other side of the table, he has the option to sign for Lazio. A transfer war has emerged for the striker but now the Blues are unwilling to sell due to the lack of cover for Abrahams, who has now picked up an ankle injury.
The World Cup winner will stay put and a move abroad in the summer will be granted to him (almost as if they will still own him in the summer). This was precisely what transpired after a move to Italy broke down and moves to other locations never materialised because they were stopped by the Stamford Bridge club.
Now moving back to the future and the same reports have come to light. Tammy would be fully recovered, if/when Premier League football returns. This will leave Inter’s target in the same place as before, having little to no sight of game time.
Read, stretch, and repeat
It appears we read and repeat the same news as that of January and afore the window opened. However, this time it should work out all good with his contract expiring the end of the season.
"Olivier Giroud has already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan and will leave Chelsea as a free agent in the summer, according to reports in Italy.Reports surfaced earlier this month that Chelsea were looking to extend his deal beyond the end of the current season, but Tuttosport now claim that Giroud has made up his mind to move to Serie A.He would therefore move to Inter on a free transfer, with the report claiming he is set to sign a two-year contract with Antonio Conte’s men with an option of a third year. Conte wants his man
Antonio Conte made it clear that Giroud was important to the work going at the San Siro. A backup who has prolific goalscoring abilities is needed, and the 33-year-old is just that. Highly unlikely he will fight Romelu Lukaku for his spot.
Feel Giroud is a cheap option (free agent) and the perfect replacement for the possible outgoing Lautaro Martínez. If he leaves it will bequeath Lukaku as the first choice while having no other options. This is why Giroud is so essential to Antonio.
