Liverpool’s April Fools: Top 3 foolish mistakes they made in 2020
Losing their chance to defend their Champions League gold right to the end was down to one human being. That man’s name is Adrian.
A divided opinion turned into hero status, then depleted into the most hated villain all in the space of one season. That has been the life of the second-choice stopper.
The boys from Anfield left it until the end of the group stages to qualify for the knockout round. All their efforts were being put into taking the EPL title after 30 years of waiting. Their inclusion into the round of 16 was a tough one and something they worked hard on accomplishing. Imagine the heartbreak when they got eliminated?

Their efforts were rewarded with a difficult task between Merseyside and Madrid for a round of 16 clash against Atletico. The first leg 1-0 to Madrid? No problem, they heading off to Anfield still. We know what happens there.
Boom, boom.. 2-0 to Liverpool and they are up 2-1 on aggregate. Then boom, boom, pow! Adrian was called into action. In a short space of eight minutes, Adrian allowed Atletico in with downright poor goalkeeping, killing every Liverpool fans’ hope of back-to-back European Cups. He on a whole was Liverpool’s most foolish mistake.
The worst of it all
The worst of it all would be if Liverpool, who are 25 points clear at the top and nine games away from taking the Premier League crown were to be told the league will not continue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This would be the hardest pill to swallow in an already basic campaign. Sounds harsh after them almost breaking every record in the league as a club but at the end of it all, it just goes down as ONE Premier League title won.
