Liverpool keeping their royalty happy at Anfield with new contract offers

Van Dijk was the first of the formidable duo to join in 2018 for a then record-breaking transfer fee. He was the most expensive defender at £75m before Harry Maguire left Leicester City for £80m last summer.

After six months, Alisson Becker followed from AS Roma as the most expensive goalkeeper signing at £67m in July 2018. That’s £142m on just two additions, which is rather unheard of from the Anfield side. Was it worth it? Every penny, as results and records broken show to date.

What are the deals on the table?

No specifics have been handed out. All that has been reported is that they will both receive pay increases, and their new deals will commit them to Anfield long-term, keeping them at the club for the best days of their playing careers.
