Fantasy Premier League GW28 – Vardy After Party?
Defensive Picks
Matt Doherty (DEF, 6.1m, Spurs away)
Sticking with Wolves and their great fixture run, Doherty was an absolute FPL hero last season but has been largely ignored due to his massive price tag. If you can afford him then Doherty is a superb player that spends more time in the opposition box than his own thanks to Wolves’ wing-back system.

Cesar Azpilicueta (DEF, 5.8m, Bournemouth away)
Another expensive defender with a great fixture run coming up, Azpilicueta is a guaranteed start for Frank Lampard‘s team and has some FP pedigree. He’s been one of the highest-scoring defenders in each of the last 3 years and can grab the occasional goal/assist to top you up.
Steer Clear
Spurs
I mentioned it earlier but they are in a bit of a crisis at the minute. They have looked poor in wins over City and Villa (might be a bit harsh but they really were) and were dominated by Chelsea and in their Champions League match against RB Leipzig.
I was all on board with Mourinho’s revolution but with no recognisable striker and 4 clean sheets all season there’s not a lot to get excited about at White Hart Lane.
