Transfer News: Emre Can in Germany for final stages of Dortmund deal
The Premier League return is really off and Emre Can‘s loyalty to Liverpool shines through. No team good enough in the EPL to convince him to come back and upset the Reds.
Man United, Spurs, and other clubs around England and Europe tried everything in their power to lure Emre Can into their chambers. Only one club appeared to be attractive to the former Liverpool man, and that club is Borussia Dortmund.
He joins up with his previous manager’s previous club. Probably feeling some kind of way that it didn’t work out with the Old Lady in Italy, and having sleepless nights about why he left Liverpool, which is probably why he has ended up here. He want’s to feel the power of Klopp somehow.

The German international will complete a loan move to BVB with an obligation to buy that is said to be worth £25m (€30m). The contract being signed will keep the out-of-favour midfielder in yellow and black for five years.
Personal terms have already been discussed and agreed on between the two parties. Now the club is in the final stages of his medical and photoshoot, as they prep for his announcement.
Can’s ability to play anywhere helps
Emre Can’s ability to play across the whole backline, including as a box-to-box midfielder and defensive midfielder makes him the perfect option to go for, for any club in search. This is the main reason all of the Premier League clubs tried their best in acquiring his services.
He reads the game well, has a great passing range, and most importantly can score goals. He has the ability to do it all and should feel right at home now. With all being said, it’s difficult to think why Maurizio Sarri wouldn’t have a use for the versatile player.
