The search for a new striker over at Man United continues. The latest was a failed attempt on Josh King, as Bournemouth sees the player vital to their Premier League survival.

Only a day remaining for all Premier League clubs to finalize their last bit of transfer business. Man United is one such club looking to end the winter window off with one more transfer. The target said to be Josh King from Eddie Howe’s struggling Bournemouth side.

As per reports, the Red Devils had a bid rejected by the Cherries due to him not being for sale as he plays an important role in their Premier League survival. Only rumours have surfaced of other forwards, and no real substance coming from the Edinson Cavani links. King is Ole’s preferred subject and has been since the summer window that has passed.

More from Manchester United

Man United have recently and finally resolved the transaction of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon. They are hoping for great success from their third Portuguese and Lisbon signing following legend Christiano Ronaldo and Nani.

After the confirmation was broadcasted by the Manchester outfit, news they were not done in the market followed. Besides Marcus Rashford injury forcing them to look for another number 9, they were still always in demand for a new striker.

They still haven’t replaced Romelu Lukaku, who left in the summer already for Inter. He was accompanied by Alexis Sánchez, who too was not replaced. Manpower, firepower, and creative power has been missing.

Losing Rashford was the last thing the Old Trafford club needed, but he was playing through injuries, eventually taking its toll and leaving sidelined for a prolonged period.

Many hours left for today but only a day remains for all. United have important European clashes, as well as the fight for next season’s Champions League berth. The United board can still make things happen and should. Expecting one more signing from them.
