A big worry for Leicester City after their side lost leading goal scorer, Jamie Vardy in their 4-1 win over struggling West Ham.

Another game Jamie Vardy came up blank for Leicester City, but this time because he was only involved for the first half of the game. Before the whistle was blown for the break, he was substituted off the pitch and replaced by forward, Kelechi Iheanacho.

There was only one goal scored before the sub was made by Rodgers, and the worry of West Ham coming back into the clash was high. Thankfully for all Foxes, this was soon extinguished when they put another three goals in the back of the net during the second period of normal time.

How long will Jamie Vardy be out for?

More from Premier League

Manager Brendan Rodgers is hoping it’s not a long period he will be out of action for. He has too confirmed it is not a hamstring injury, which would have seen him sidelined three to six weeks, minimum.

"Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers hopes striker Jamie Vardy’s injury is “not too serious” after confirming it is “not his hamstring”.Hopefully over the next couple of days it will ease off. Jamie is a real talisman for the team but if we are going to have success it is about the team. He hasn’t played for us in a number of games and the team has still played well but of course we want him fit and well.He is such a good player and we hope it is not too serious. (Via: BBC Sports)"

How worrying is this for Rodger and the Foxes?

Extremely worrying for them. The Foxes next six Premier League fixtures consist of Chelsea, Wolves, and Man City. It will be hard to challenge the current top teams without the Premier League’s top scorer.

As put by BBC sports, he has been involved in 34% of their goals this season. Missing only two games of the 24 played. The 33-year-old has been in top shape and has had a heavy hand in Leicester’s league position this season.

He has only failed to score in 10 games since the start of the league campaign. They are eight points clear from fourth-placed Chelsea, a team they face in the near future. Two losses and both Wolves and Chelsea could be right behind them, ready to pounce on their Champions League spot.

A big hope he will be ready by the time they face one of their toughest runs in the second period of the Premier League.
