Man United getting charged for their errors in Liverpool loss
A couple of days has passed since one of the most heated fixtures in England took place to conclude Matchday 23 in the Premier League. After all the drama unfolded, Liverpool walked away from Anfield victorious.
All of Liverpool walked together from Anfield when they capped off their 13th straight Premier League win after taking their biggest rivals Man United down by two goals to nil. There was no doubting the game was in for drama plus controversy.
One moment filled with all of the above mentioned called United’s legend Roy Keane into debate on the subject. It was the most significant talking point of the game. The Premier League winner was not in favour of the goal being disallowed and felt it should have stood.

The error or the infringement
The story of the disallowed goal goes as follows… Both David de Gea and van Dijk rose for a ball in the air. The two collided midair while challenging for the same ball.
De Gea then dropped the ball and play went on as normal with Firmino finishing off the de Gea blunder with a sexy finessed goal.
It was then disallowed after being reviewed by VAR. After the goal, before the reviews, and while being reviewed Man United swarmed Craig Pawson and displayed misconduct and consent. This was where the chargeable incident occurred.
Man United must get charged
Depending on what side of the fence you sit regarding the disallowed goal will determine whether you agree with me or not. I’m on the side, the decision was correct at first and the goal should have stood.
Why? It’s a contact sport, de Gea made an error and he got punished for it. They only protested once the ball was put in the back of the net. Then only was there a gathering of Red Devils around the match official.
De Gea has been a culprit of this specific type of lapse once already this season. Is that a coincidence? I think not. De Gear is not the same goalkeeper he was a couple of seasons ago, so errors leading to goals have occurred more often than not. For this, they must be fined by the FA.
