Fixtures

Here are my latest fixture rankings (as per a suggestion on Twitter I’m now ordering them)

  • Things look difficult for Palace and Southampton!
  • There’s a disconnect between form and fixtures in the coming weeks as Watford and Newcastle have great fixtures but no form
  • Longer-term Leicester and Arsenal look great, while Sheffield United could provide some cheap options

The Hare and The Tortoise

It is very much slow and steady winning the race at the minute. The tortoise doubled up on Chelsea and got 13 points from its 2 new recruits, while also gaining from the long-held patience in Wilson and Wood. They have in fact leapfrogged my actual team!

Not such good news for the hare though as it chased the Bernardo Silva points and sold Vardy to fund it… 38 with a -4 doesn’t look good! This week’s top scorer was Doherty, which doesn’t seem like a good idea with City up next but that’s the rule! At least it will give me a chance to get rid of Digne.

The Top Flight Mini-League

Mathias Mizi held on to top spot with a middle-of-the-road score of 53, but there were plenty of higher scores including Fonge Mbencho, who managed a massive 86 of the back of a shrewd wildcard including Vardy, King, Jorginho and KDB. He may want to rethink his GK choices though as he spent a lot at the back and has the injured Fabianski plus Kepa on the bench!
