It is the Fantasy Premier League GW8 Preview of the English Premier League.

Last week was fairly disappointing as Pep roulette struck again and left Aguero on the bench, while Liverpool laboured to a tough win over Sheffield United and the Man United vs Arsenal match was a drab affair.

The average score got up to 51 but I honestly can’t see where that came from unless a lot of people captained Jamie Vardy!

GW8 is the last week before another interminable international break disrupts our FPL fun, so this might be a good time to hold your transfer in case of an injury problem (just like the one faced by KDB owners).

Alternatively, like me, you could be looking for a mad pick that just might come off for one week only before hitting the wildcard button on Saturday.

This weekend could be a lot of fun with City facing Wolves who will be fresh from a Thursday night trip to Turkey, Arsenal playing Bournemouth (one clean sheet between them all season… Against Newcastle), Man United against the beleaguered Magpies and Chelsea travelling to Southampton.

Plus on Saturday we have the might of Liverpool against their worst enemy, Jamie Vardy! There will be goals.
