Can Spurs pull off a sensational Dybala deal – Juventus wants £80m
By ROUNAK PATRA
Spurs would have to break their transfer record for the second time this summer to sign Dybala, who is valued at £80 million by Juventus.
Once Dybala was considered the natural air to Messi’s throne (due to his uncanny similarities to the Argentinian and Barcelona superstar) he had massive expectations on his shoulders. Last season, his form suffered by the incoming of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now, he is not a guaranteed starter in the star-studded Juventus squad. The Argentinian ace will be a top-class striking partner that Kane needs. He is the perfect candidate who can bear the striking burden with the England captain.
Dybala is of world-class spec

Dybala’s versatility will undoubtedly be useful to any of the top clubs in Europe. He can play as a second striker, out wide as a left-sided forward (Salah-esque), and an out-and-out striker.
Dybala scored the winning goal against Chile, which secured a third-place finish in their Copa America campaign for Argentina. The Juventus ace scored the heartbreaking goal at Wembley two years ago, which dumped Spurs out of the UCL last 16. Pochettino said ahead of that game:
"It’s always nice to play against the best in the world. I put Dybala in that category because he is a special talent and seeing him on the pitch is wonderful, even if he might cause your team a few problems."
Dybala will unquestionably be welcomed at White Hart Lane where they have an Argentinian manager and an Argentine core with Erik Lamela, and Juan Foyth – who was also a part of the Copa America squad- as well as goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Furthermore, Spurs are in the market for another active Argentina international in Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso this summer. The move is close to being completed, as Betis have signed French international Nabil Fekir.
In conclusion, Spurs are serious about challenging on all fronts this term. Their time of qualifying for the Champions League spot to generate profit is long gone. Now Spurs are breaking the bank to get the players they need to bolster their squad and achieve even greater things after their Champions League bust.
They learned a lesson from Liverpool, whose €180m summer investment shot them up within a touching distance of the Premier League title and won them the Champions League.
After renovating their Stadium, Chairman Daniel Levy is fully backing Pochettino in the market and inspiring this Spurs team to challenge for the coveted trophies following last season’s moral-damaging UCL final defeat.
