Wolves set to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid – Bad idea or not
First and foremost… Are those involved in transfers at Wolves losing the plot? Diego Costa looks likely to join the Wanderers during the summer transfer window.
Diego Costa is a mean machine in every sense of the word. A meany to play against when on the opposing team and a mean striker in front of goal. Because of the former always overtaking the Spanish-Brazilian’s game, he must now seek another home.
After all the signings made by Diego Simeone and club Atletico, its hard to see the forward break into the starting eleven often. After signing Alvaro Morata from Chelsea on loan last winter, the manager fancied Morata leading the line instead of the infamous bad boy, Costa.
That, and he was unavailable for his unruly antics. Now the club has made it official and Morata will join them on a permanent deal.

The road has been back and forth for Diego Costa. From Spain to England, back Spain and now what looks like a move back to the English Premier League. If this is the case and Nuno takes the gamble of a Costa transfer, it could turn out to be one of the best for the summer.
He is no stranger to the Premier League
No matter the evil brewing in this old fashion number 9’s brain, he is still one of the most lethal men to have in your squad, starting eleven, week in and week out. He can move the ball forward, hold up play when his man alone and in a sticky situation.
Big, robust, while still maintaining a good first touch. Brilliant skills with the ball at his feet and most importantly, deadly in front of goal from distance and close range. He would match any player for their position.
His last stint in England saw impressive numbers in back-to-back campaigns. The 2016/2017 EPL season we witnessed him score 20 goals and add 7 assists to his name.
The 2015/2016 season, he managed 12 goals and 6 assists. The season prior to that, 20 goals and 3 assists. These numbers will aid Nuno and his Wolfpack in the European quest and Premier League run.
They must better last season’s reentry into The Top Flight and it would certainly be plausible if he was involved with them in their next push. At 30-years-old, he will be looking to produce his best work. The Wanderers must take advantage of this.
Recent update on Costa’s proposed move to Wolves
It is said, the player and receiving club have agreed on personal terms (means nothing when a player of Diego’s mentality is involved). The two clubs are yet to meet an agreement on the player.
Other news outlets believe the news is far off the mark and no agreement anywhere has been met. Would you welcome a Diego Costa return to the English Premier League?
