Ayoze Perez will become a Leicester City player after agreeing a £30 million move from Newcastle. There is no doubting this will be one of the best transfers to watch this season coming.

When you play in a team that’s fighting for dear life in the Premier League and still manage to stand out above some of the best in the league, more often than not, then you destined for great things.

That’s exactly what is occurring in the life of Ayoze Perez.

More from Premier League

Newcastle was a joy to watch for some parts of the season. Most notably at the turn of the year 2019, well the start of 2018 as well in the campaign prior to the last one. He

Rafa was saluted for his brave tactics. His squad was praised for their never say die attitude. While the fans stuck behind their club despite the Mike Ashley dilemma looming over the once fierce English club.

In this time, a player who played for the badge and popped up for Newcastle on many special occasions for them this season past was Ayoze Perez.

He had many brilliant moments and has kept improving with each season. He was one of the players who aided in them staying in The Top Flight.

Now rewarded and with no surprise in the news, he will be joining forces with another ex-Liverpool manager in Brendan Rodgers. Comparing the two Rafa and Rodgers, the Spaniard should get a lot more joy from the Northern Irishman’s style of play.

Will this be a good move?

Hands down, yes! Leicester City has injected more pace and skill into one of the most deadly attacks outside of the top six. What adds to this, Ayoze will be working under a manager who loves to play the attacking game where wingers flourish.

The move ticks all the boxes for both the club and player. If James Maddison opts to stay put and ignore other top clubs, Perez supply would be more reliable than what was on offer at the Magpies.

Current deal?

Sky Sports has reported the deal agreed upon between the two clubs is in the region of £30m. No agreement between the forward and the Foxes as of yet, with a medical pending.

If all goes to plan, by the end of the week he could be revealed as a Leicester man and their second signing of the season after James Justin.
