Man City and Liverpool belong with this lot of top performers but their significant Premier League journey was one of a kind, making it known they are miles ahead of the rest of league.

Fulham 0-4 Newcastle

Starting with the best team of the final day, Newcastle United. The Magpies, with the perfect ending after hammering Fulham at the Cottage 4-0. Another fixture displaying how poor Fulham was this season. The worst defensive team who conceded 81 goals for the season, conceded four in their final 90 minutes in the Premier League.

They deserve to be demoted after such a miserable run this season!

Watford 1-4 West Ham

West Ham surprises all after finishing ahead of Watford in the top 10. A meeting deciding a small foot on the final day saw Watford get drubbed by West Ham, four goals to one. The Hornets needed only a draw, while the Hammers needed a win.

The FA Cup has pulled all the attention away from Watford’s league campaign and has added to a terrible ending. Marco Arnautovic takes the honours of being West Ham’s top scorer this season after his tap in. Mark Noble’s brace led the way to a victorious finish to one inconsistent campaign.

Man United 0-2 Cardiff City

It’s worrying that United fans couldn’t care less about how they ended the season. A loss to one of the relegated teams is cause for concern. Ole’s men endured an embarrassing final day after losing 2-0 to Cardiff City.

A small unbeaten run and a Europa League spot are the only two rewards the mighty Red Devils have to take from this campaign. They placed sixth, a place they owned for a large part of the season.

Burnley 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal were not favourites heading into the final game against Burnley. Their away record was poor beyond doubt and questioned whether or not they’d return to the Emirates with a point, let alone three.

Thankfully, the Gunners shooting was on target and they ended on a high note. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got his name on the scorecard and shared the golden boot accolade with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah. African firepower! This, in his first full campaign with Arsenal.

Burnley restarts and gets another go at EPL life. Hopefully, they can come back as the team before this season past and stun the league with more impressive performances next season.
