One of the few fates resolved over the weekend was the fierce relegation fight. Cardiff City is the third and final team leaving us after the end of the 2018-2019 campaign.
Sadly for Cardiff, Crystal Palace visit to Wales was worthy of three points when they beat the home side by three goals to two. A great fight put up by the declassed side. Thankfully, only one bird got plucked from the sky while the Seagulls continue to soar bravely in the Premier League for another year.

Along with Brighton, a huge commendation to Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton for avoiding the clutches of the EFL Championship in what was once a nine-club battle royale to dodge demotion.
Before the weekend’s fixtures initiated there was an outside chance of Premier League survival for Neil Warnock and his Bluebirds. But that has now dissolved. Even though Burnley lost in the opener of Matchday 37, they live to fight another day. Whether Sean Dyche is the man who will continue running things at the club in the near future, is still to be seen.
Wolves just about crossed the line with three points after winning their clash with Fulham. The second worst team of the EPL confirmed why they are second last in the standings. They’ve still only managed to keep three clean sheets for the season after 37 games played.
Most compelling result and the most laughable one to be precise, the worst team of the league’s surprise comeback draw to Man United, handing them a guaranteed Europa spot for next season.
