Paulo Dybala or Mohamed Salah – Why should there be a choice
There have been many reports making its rounds about a swap deal involving Mohamed Salah and Paulo Dybala. How true the rumours are, are yet to be established.
It looks as if the rest of Europe are ready to disturb the Anfield camp with reports surrounding many of their star players and a potential exit from Anfield. Sadio Mane, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah have all been headlining with moves away from Merseyside.
Juventus has already successfully disrupted the Reds’ camp in the summer prior to this upcoming window when they seized Emre Can on a free from the Reds. Emre was an important player to Jurgen Klopp’s game, forcing Liverpool to pull out all the stops in an attempt to keep him at the club.
The player and club could not reach an agreement on inserting a buyout clause and eventually, Emre left on a free. This has to cause uncertainty in the Anfield house. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are two prized assets the club needs to hold onto.
Taking into account Juventus and Fabio Paratici’s ability to pull off some of the most amazing deals in the world is food for thought, for all Reds out there. The Old Lady is said to have her eyes on several high-profile players with Salah’s name meeting the mouth more frequently than not.

But why should Liverpool choose?
The rumours of the swap deal were the latest talks. However, afore this swap deal headliners, there were talks of a Paulo Dybala exit and Liverpool tops the list, as the club holds a strong interest in the player.
This brings forth the question… Why should Liverpool choose and why should they settle for a swap deal? If the former reports are true of him wanting out of Juventus, then Liverpool should go in for him. A Philippe Coutinho relief is needed as creativity lacked this season in some important fixtures, including goals from outside of the box.
This young man can add an abundance of creativity and goals if added to the Liverpool roster. If the Anfield faithful are not prepared to accept the return of Coutinho to Merseyside, why not bring in Dybala rather? Bring him in and keep Salah onboard, and Liverpool will be an even bigger threat in Europe.
At the beginning of this season (July 2018) Salah signed a new deal with no release clause. The deal keeps him at the club till the year 2023. It would take Juventus a large transfer sum to get Salah away from Liverpool. All these factors stand against a Salah exit. To add, Klopp has been adamant about Anfield no longer being a “stepping stone”.
Xherdan Shaqiri will always be a squad player at best. Already being alienated from team selection without powers such as the Argentine at the club gives credit to this. Imagine a front four of Roberto Firmino; Sadio Mane; Mohamed Salah and Paulo Dybala.
