Things are moving fast in the Real Madrid and Eden Hazard saga after reports surfaced the first bid from the Spanish side was rejected.

Since the Los Blancos lost their place in all the cup competitions they’ve been involved while failing to retain their Champions League title for a fourth consecutive season. The club has acted swiftly, ensuring all their business is completed before the summer preparations commence for the new 2019/2020 campaign.

The club has identified their priority targets after naming Zidane as the man at the helm for the next few seasons, contracted till the year 2022. Since then there has been no silence and little debate on whether or not Eden Hazard will be at Chelsea next season.

The Top Flight reported Eden Hazard’s name will top the transfer list for Real Madrid. They will also do whatever it takes and pay whatever the amount is to prize Hazard away from Stamford Bridge.

More from Premier League

Chelsea has given up in their attempts to keep the Belgian forward at the club. As long as October last year has a deal been lingering on the table for Hazard to sign. A deal said to make the potent forward one of the best paid players in the league and Chelsea’s best ever paid player.

These attractions haven’t aided in persuading Eden to stay put and knowing Real Madrid wants to add him to their roster, has made him hesitate even further. The situation cleared up even more over the past few days after Chelsea put a price tag on the Belgian’s head of £100 million and stated they will not accept anything lower than their valuation of the forward.

The first bid was rejected

The first bid from the La Liga side has been rejected by the London side. Whatever the offer, it must have been lower than the £100 million Chelsea have set on Hazard. The Blues cannot hold out for too long knowing he has until next summer (2020) before letting him go on a free.

For now, the player is concentrated on his international duty with Belgium. Neymar from PSG and Sadio Mane from Liverpool are the other two players said to be on the top of the transfer list at Real Madrid.

The owner of the club, Roman Abramovich has also been reported to be resigned at the idea of losing his star player and main attraction.
