Liverpool’s transfer business has not been about bringing new names in but has been about them tying down the heart and soul of the first team to longterm deals.

The club who’s certainly winning at life in the transfer window has also been the team with the most compelling nature that players have been unable to deny, committing their entire footballing future to remain at Anfield. All because of the Klopp effect!

Since the noisy inclusion of Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s rise to almost supreme has been no secret. From everybody wanting out at the club, to everybody wanting to fight each other for a permanent stay, is one of the many changes in effect since then. Times have changed and Anfield is the fortress to belong to.

If this is not enough, here’s some more proof…

The player I consider to be the best central defender in the English Premier League and one of the best in world football now is Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman was at the heartbeat of a transfer saga that did not last one window but two windows.

More from Liverpool FC

Fending off every other club interested in procuring his services, van Dijk wanted his Reds t-shirt. Virgil endangered the first part of his season in order to force a move and make certain his on way to join up with Klopp at Anfield. The second example is Naby Keita, another player who sacrificed last season, forcing the hand of a transfer request.

Then the third and last example, and the way Andrew Robertson followed… All the players choosing Merseyside over any other location in Europe. Roberto Firmino started the trend, Mohamed Salah came soon after, along with Gomez and Sadio Mane, who hesitated but committed, eventually.

Robertson’s £8 million seems like the best steal in the history of football

Andrew Robertson has established himself as one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League at the moment. Robby went from being a signing Liverpool fans could not get on board with too the man that cannot be left out of the starting 11.

This season he has only missed two Premier League games and has featured in every Champions League clash for the Reds. In this time on the biggest stages of European football, Robertson has collected six assists.

Andy has all the attributes to become a legend at the club. He was exactly what Klopp needed to help invent the best defence in the English Premier League. Only 10 goals conceded by Robo and his teammates.

This weekend the league leaders entertain Crystal Palace, a team who already had a major hand in the title race this season.
