West Ham receives Manchester City at London Stadium looking to steal a win from the Citizens.
It is never too late for West Ham to climb up in the standings of the English Premier League, even against City. With only 12 points, the team has to fight against the big clubs in order to reach the levels they aimed for at the start of the season.
Showing loads of ambitions with their new signings and good ones may I add, it’s safe to say the work on the pitch didn’t really follow the noise made during the window. But there is no denying the quality in both teams today, when West Ham welcomes the champions to the London stadium.
“Welcome to my house!”, Said Manuel Pellegrini
The present day meets the past in today’s meeting. The head Hammer gets a chance to play the revenge card on the team that got him sacked a couple of seasons back. In return, his old boys get to prove they were not in need of his services.
So emotions will be spread all over the pitch. What needs to be done in order to get his men on the positive side of today’s result? Key players need to come to the fore.

For one man to standout and live up to the hype
Felipe Anderson has been one of the best players this season, with four goals and one assist. The Brazilian has a 7.29 ratings, according to Whoscored.com. But Anderson has some kind of “ginga” (Portuguese expression for the guy who can dribble more than two players). But this is still below his best.
When he played as Neymar’s partner at Santos back in 2011, Anderson showed a glance of his skills and was named by some journalists as the “new Ganso”. However, Ganso had not been successful in Europe, and is on the bench of Amien in Ligue 1.
He will be key to success at the London stadium today, along with the others up front. Marko Arnautovic is another player who has been brilliant for the Hammer. He notched five goals so far this term. Another player who can reach higher heights, but below par. However, his game has developed to another level.
If Manuel Pellegrini sets up his best against the champs, the Irons can tie the game at best. But in world of stranger things, West Ham’s chances of a win is 10%. We should have to believe and be honest, I don’t even think that they will get a victory today. Especially because they have a psychological problem and that’s something that will only resolve in the next few months, maybe.
