What we’ve been promised as an estimated time of completion has been long overshot by Tottenham. The home of the Spurs is yet to spur onto our screens.

Already 12 match days played already. Four months since the league initiated back in August and still no change on Tottenham’s home ground situation.

As reported by the media, Spurs official opening was set for September 15th, but was missed due to unforeseen circumstances. The question to be asked is no longer will it be done soon, but are we to wait till next season?

When it all begun…

Ahead of last season the decision to demolish the old White Hart Lane was carried out and went as planned. It was forecasted that before the season started of the 2018/19 campaign, the stadium would be completed and Spurs using Wembley will be no more.

More from Premier League

Well, the deadline was missed, completely.  The deadline for the first game at their beloved Lane has been pushed back to a later date on several occasions and not much has changed, as they continue to delay things.

This has caused many problems on the pitch for Mauricio and his men. At Wembley, clubs relish the chance to play on one of England’s biggest stages. When this much motivation is put in an away side’s mind, it’s almost impossible to stop them.

Of the four losses achieved by Spurs this term, three of them has been at Wembley. Only one of them was on the road, when they met Watford all the way back on Matchday 4. If you didn’t believe me, now you will.

So when exactly will it happen?

There’s been mixed reports about when exactly the London side will have their new state of the art stadium ready for a matchday. One thing we all are well aware of is that it won’t happen before the year-end, with 2019 being the realist timezone.

It is said that Tottenham will use their new grounds at the start of next year, 2019. Which match it will happen is unclear. In return of this news, Spurs announced that sometime next month there will be a date set, with them having a clearer view of what’s going on and when they will play their first fixture there.

Next. The EPL embraces VAR. dark

Hopefully, this all goes according to the scriptures and works well to the scheduled dates, hoping we have an old/new stadium back in the English Premier League.
