The end of club action comes at us again. FIFA can really keep their international break, it’s unwanted. The last set of fixtures played out on Sunday in the Premier League with many surprising results.
Many questions raised after all the action concluded this weekend in Matchday 12’s fixtures. One thing that remains consistent over the past 12 weeks of football are the top three in the English Premier League.
This is the first time in Premier League history that three clubs remain undefeated past the dozen mark. This gives evidence to the ever evolving game of football. It was always a case of having the best managers and best players scattered across the globe. Now they all meet on the same stage, making the best game in the world, in the best league the world, even more entertaining.

Pep’s Man City know how to do the business on the pitch – taking charge of one of the best title-defending campaigns in Premier League history. Not leaving anything for chance and taking three points in every situation handing to them.
His neighbour Jose and his United team labour in playing a part in anything important, and I try to say this without being nasty. They sit eighth, a true reflection of their performances to date.
Sunday Matchday 12 results

Liverpool’s success over Fulham was followed by the big blues draw between Chelsea and Everton, all the way at Stamford Bridge. Then came the other big event of the day, the Manchester Derby. Last of the day brought the biggest upset of them all, but exposed old faults once again.
Liverpool’s two goals in either half by Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri, respectively, was enough to sink the Cottages on the day. Fulham felt Aleksandar Mitrovic was robbed of a goal, but let us be clear, it was offside. Liverpool nip at Man City’s heels giving them no chance to rest and making sure they came away with a result.
Chelsea failed to capitalise on a home ground advantage. Silva’s men took the game to the home side and so did the home side take the game to the visitors. Is unlucky the right term to use for both, Alonso and Morata? Two of the most lively figures in the game were Alonso and Hazard. Regardless of the Belgian’s performance, he has now failed to score in another game since returning from injury.

In Manchester the biggest clash of the day. Jose met Pep and came very short. It was one to forget for United and another fantastic showing for City in front of their big, small crowd inside the Etihad stadium. Goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero and İlkay Gundogan canceled a solo penalty shot by Anthony Martial. Manchester has been repainted blue for now until their next meeting.

In the other London event, the Wolves stalked their prey inside their own backyard. Arsenal failed miserably to take all the point against Wolves who were on a decline in performances. It’s safe to say, Arsenal is the team fortunate to come out of this one with a point. Besides being completely outplayed on the counter by Wolves. The Gunners’ goal should have been disallowed cause it was offside, end of discussion.
Wolves with one of the best results for the weekend. With Man City performing as Premier League champions should – all while Liverpool and Chelsea try to entertain with a better title chase. Great way to end a nice run of club fixtures before the silly break.
