Could be one for the books in this poor running for Huddersfield as they search across an 11 game stretch without a win. Fulham? Ugh… They’ve just been disappointing.

Two teams having little bearing on the league and only showing signs of a possibly demotion from the Premier League square off in Monday Night Football later this evening. With that being said, we could get an exciting meeting between the two, or one of the dullest fixtures to date.

Supporting the notion of us expecting an outstanding match of footie – on our hands we have last place entertaining second last. One of them on three points and the other two points ahead on five. Who would have thought come Matchday 11, Fulham would be involved in a tussle to get out of a drop spot?

It’s as intense as this…

Fulham will send themselves straight to 16th place, ahead of Southampton with all the points in the bag. Their hosts the Terriers, could also for the first time this season not only get a win added to their name, but also move out of the red zone in the English Premier standings.

More from Premier League

Now, more than ever, will be the best opportunity for the home side to take all the points. Wagner has his men going into this fixture the better side, defensively. In the last four league matches alone, the Cottages have conceded 15 goals heading into this bottom-table battle.

That’s just over three and half goals per game. Equalling their poor grade at the back, is their lousy goal record upfront. Only four goals in their last six gives Wagner even more reason to get off the mark inside their Kirklees stadium.

Nevertheless, Huddersfield’s problems and biggest issue remains not scoring. How many times have we seen them hit the crossbar or upright? Many occasions quite frankly. The Terriers have managed a poodles’ feet in front of poles. A measly three goals in the last seven outings – is more than cause for concern.

Fulham does have the better team on paper and have the ability to score more frequently. Therefore handing us the worst goal-scoring team taking on the worst defence in the league. A little goals, maybe. Many errors? Definitely!
