After the rest of the weekend wrapped up for Matchday 10 on Sunday. the rest of the results caused movement all around the table expecting on top, where the top three remains unchanged.

After getting solo Sunday shows, returning from an international break was somewhere daft. Fortunately enough, Matchday 10 was better suited for a weekend indoors. Applying more satisfaction to the day, the caliber of the matches that was played.

The second of the top three took to the pitch in one of the first of the day. Chelsea travelled in high spirits to Turf Moor. When they left, they left in the same fashion. A four-goal game and a clean sheet keeps them in third place for another week, only two points adrift from City and Liverpool, respectively.

Matchday 10 Sunday

Burnley 0-4 Chelsea
Crystal Palace 2-2 Arsenal
Man United 2-1 Everton

In the other match across the way, we had another four-goal delight. The London derby between Crystal Palace and Arsenal, which exceeded expectation and was of the highest order in end-to-end action. Arsenal keep fast of their fourth place thanks to a narrow victory in Monday Night Football, when Man City claimed three points from their arch-enemy, Tottenham.

Crystal Palace finally claimed a point inside Selhurst Park. They were close, almost over the line but just, just fell short of handing the Gunners their first loss in 11 fixtures. It could be looked at the Eagles claiming a cool draw, but we can also see it in the way of Arsenal and Unai’s inability to lose points.

Roy’s men sit on the edge of the ledge, risking the chance of a push down into the bottom three once again. Lucky enough other teams sit in far more dangerous depths but the Eagles are not safe, with only three points separating them and others.

The final game of the day made headlines for their individual reasons or problems. I can say there were many who thought this result would end with Jose and his United side walking with their head in their hands. But little did WE know, the Reds Devils came to play. The game was well-balanced, with Manchester United just about piping their visitors, Everton.

Marco Silva’s men can blame their boots or the pitch, but 14 shots and 1 goal scored is cause for major concern. They did regrettably, miss their chance to overtake United for 8th place. They now sit level on points with promoted side, Wolves (15). United keep their European objectives alive with the title far out of their reach.

The league has been an exciting one to date since the beginning. Since then, there has been little room for error and whenever you see some team drop points, it actually appears fatal to their league ambitions.
