Arsenal have gone from strength to strength under Unai Emery, and now face a Palace side struggling for form.

Against Everton last week, Palace looked good for long stretches of the game. Then, all of a sudden, they fell apart.

It has been the story of their season so far, the Eagles have been ripped to shreds by counter attacks, failing to convert their chances when on top, and have placed too much emphasis on Wilfried Zaha.

This is a recipe for disaster, particularly as Arsenal come into this game looking as good as they have in years. If Mesut Ozil keeps up the form he shows last week, he will be virtually unplayable. The addition of Lucas Torreira has brought the bite that the Gunners so desperately needed in midfield.

Up top, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are hitting their stride, and have made Arsenal a team no one will enjoy playing against.

This game is the start of an absolutely torrid run for Palace. After Arsenal, they play Chelsea, Spurs and Man United consecutively. The biggest concern at this moment for Roy Hodgson is that by the start of December, his team could be cut adrift near the foot of the table.

Prediction: Palace 1-4 Arsenal

Coming off an insipid display against Juventus, Mourinho faces a fresh challenge against an Everton team high on confidence.

Where to start with the soap opera that is Manchester United? After seeing a win slip from their grasp against Chelsea last week, they were reminded by Juve that they simply do not resemble a top European side anymore.

More from Arsenal

Jose Mourinho has now said that he is unsure if David de Gea will sign a new contract at the club, news that will have set off alarm bells in the head of every United fan. Alexis Sanchez continues to be an enigma wrapped in disappointment. Romelu Lukaku’s first touch is still akin to that of a block of concrete. Fred is still in purgatory and no one knows why.

It is with this chaotic backdrop the Red Devils welcome Everton to Old Trafford. Marco Silva has done an admirable job with the Toffees, who have slowly climbed the table and are currently in eighth place, two above United.

Everton’s direct style of play, with focus on pacy wingers, is likely to cause a defensively suspect United problems, and Gylfi Sigurdsson will have taken note of how poorly United have defended set-pieces this season.

This game promises goals, and it would not be surprising to see it play out in a similar vein to United’s game against Newcastle a few weeks ago. The madcap variety show that is Man United’s season is ready for its next act.

Prediction: Man United 2-2 Everton
