One team with a rabbit hole of problems since the summer window. It seems as if the further they try to dig themselves out of the hole, the further down they go.

Roles reverse before the buzzing scenes hits us this Saturday evening, when Jose’s Manchester United heads on over to the Hornets’ nest and take on Watford. Who let’s face it – have given us breathtaking moments in the English Premier League so far.

One of the best, if not the third best team in the league, according to the EPL table. It’s safe to say, it’s quite the battle when you travel to Vicarage Road. Unbeaten in all their games(3) at home and United with a 1-1 stat on the road.

The home side have scored two goals in each of their last three home fixtures as well, while United have only been able to keep one clean sheet in their last four fixtures. Defensive problems from their voided space in the centre of the park, to the backline, trickling in all the way to David de Gea.

What a mouthful – defensive problems doesn’t even begin to explain their troubles.

More from Manchester United

Are they ready?

Jose will have them as ready as can be. They do come off the back of a victory over Burnley, but then again, many teams come from a victory over Burnley already. A list of names either not available or, doubtful and could still make the fixture. The international break claimed its scalps, United suffering sadly to the international curse.

Both, Luke Shaw and Marouane Fellaini are minor doubts after this week’s injuries. Players like Rojo and Jones have been missing from the backline before the break. Missing Luke will not favour the seven goals leaked in by the travelling side.

Full story on the Manchester Evening News site.

If Fellaini’s missing, United could have a problem closing up the game, if they trying to take all the points in this one. You can see when the wheels of the bus start coming off in Jose’s efforts to close up shop; park the bus; win by one counter-attacking goal.

With the backline a problem and the midfield not cohesive enough – United could be in for a stinging Saturday evening. However, Jose has enough in the locker to get three points. It just depends if the World Cup Pogba shows up, along with Arsenal and Barcelona’s Sanchez.

It sounds like it will be a well-contested battle between Watford and Manchester United. Are the visitors ready? Not really, considering all their problems early on in the season. The international break was their smokescreen. It took its casualties, but could be rewarding – who knows? Watford didn’t need the break.
