Best Match – Cardiff 2-3 Arsenal
The Gunners and Bluebirds had a surprisingly entertaining game. The match had a lot of firsts with Cardiff’s first goal, Aubameyang’s first strike, and Lacazette getting off the mark. The valiant effort from Cardiff doesn’t go unnoticed with Neil Warnock out of the bottom three at the international break. A one-goal loss to the Gunners is an achievement for the new boys.
Best Player & Fantasy Performance – Jose Holebas
The Greek left-back is having an incredible start to the season and his performance against Tottenham made Javi Gracia and the FPL managers delighted. He assisted both of the Hornets goals in the upset victory to give him four on the season, tying him with Benjamin Mendy at the top of the league. As for fantasy, he is the third highest scoring player with 34 points. Marcos Alonso and Sadio Mane are the only ones that sit ahead of him.
Best Goal – Kyle Walker’s rocket
It won the game for Man City and was hit with such venom. The English right-back ended Newcastle with his right foot and put the champions on ten points after four matches. More goals like that from defense will bring Pep and City back to their long winning streaks.
Best Moment – Watford’s win against Spurs
At the international break, there are ten clubs that have a perfect record in the top five European leagues. Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, and Hertha Berlin have won two matches. Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid have begun their seasons with three victories. PSG, Liverpool, Chelsea, and WATFORD has 12 points out of a possible 12.
The Hornets have shocked the world with four convincing wins to start their Premier League season, including upsetting Tottenham 2-1 before the international break. Everyone from Troy Deeney to Craig Cathcart has played well for Watford in this unprecedented start to the season. If they can beat Man United in two weeks, promotion is all but clinched. Top ten would then need to be discussed.
