The blue side of Merseyside were treated to some insane business on transfer deadline day. A great window to say the least.

Kurt Zouma has always been a promising defender, promising enough to once even be considered as a possible world-class defender one day. When he broke out at Chelsea, it was all heading in direction of the aforementioned.

Unfortunately, he’s career took the worst setback imaginable. Back in February 2016 when the Stamford Bridge side played a crucial match against rivals, Manchester Untied. It was then where he landed freakishly and was sidelined for a long spell of six months or so.

Does any player ever come back the same? Well they come back stronger, or they come back and never reach the heights they were calculated to reach. In his case he has a long time to reach the peak of his powers, as he is only 23-years of age.

This move is way better than the last

More from Chelsea

Now that Everton are said to be close to having  Kurt Zouma’s inclusion to Goodison Park, he will form part of an exciting Everton. A transfer window of almost the same spending, but this time maybe with some better names added.

However, the jury’s still out about this new Silva instated Everton. Like the previous signings never clicked, the same could go for this bunch of additions. Nonetheless, Kurt will always add good or substantial quality to the lineup and squad.

His last move justifies nothing of what is being written here, That’s because the French centre half formed part of the relegated, Stoke City. This, after returning from his long layoff on the sideline was the worst move.

The move to Mark Hughes didn’t make sense, and I still can’t say it was a decision he had to make. But we all know and knew, the World Cup had some doing in this. Now he could play in a team who has shown more ambition during the last two transfer windows than his previous loanee.

Next. 3 things to watch in Arsenal’s season. dark

Unlike the Potters, the Toffees are playing for a shot in Europe after their last failed attempt at it. And when I say failed, that is putting it mildly. Silva should have the goods to unlock the good old, Kurt Zouma. The deal is said to be active and not yet over the line. Sky Sports have reported it should and could be announced on Friday morning.
