Who runs the world? People with loads of money! Who runs the World Cup? None other than the English Premier League that is.

The 99 EPL soldiers has been reduced to 40 strong semifinalists, and that’s a high 40 might I add. The Premier League boast the most players in the World Cup Semifinals.

While other leagues reach a bare minimal of double figures, the Queen of England is smiling all the way to the bank! One things for sure – their will definitely be a lot of World Cup winners in the Premier League come next season.

Who’s it going to be? Is it going to be the team who are made up of Englishmen only, who are optimistic about their chances since surpassing expectations? Or will it be their rivals, who gave them a one goal beating during the group stages?

More from England National Team

The French have a handful of outfielders who play in the English league. This classifies one thing, or maybe more than one thing. The English Premier League is host to the best players in the world. All while Spanish football owns Europe.

With the best two players in the world out of the tournament and the best team in the world, unable to defend their title. It could prove the English league is the most challenging of all the European leagues. Seeing the European leagues are the ones that thrive most in the footballing world.

The order of the ranking no surprise

How the order of the board looks – it really comes as no surprise what’s going on with the standings. Even in the event of recent transfers – we’ve seen a number of World Cup failures flock in days in to the English Premier League.

Out of the four semifinalist:

  • 11 Belgium players
  • 23 English players
  • 5 French players
  • 1 Croatian player

Next: West Ham move closer to triple transfer announcements

Tonight’s tie holds 16 players of the English Premier League. Out of these 16 players, all of them are normally in the starting eleven for their countries. If Belgium and England make the final, that’s 34 players from England’s top-tier fighting for that world trophy.
