This will be a strange transfer wont it? How will Hammers receive Payet if rumours become reality?

Are they happy with a player who certainly had a stellar time at the club? Or are they happy to search for new blood and watch their new vision take shape under Manuel Pellegrini?

West Ham and Arsenal has been the busiest of clubs during the World Cup period. Both underwent new management after the 2017/18 season concluded. The former installing a familiar face to the English Premier League and the latter, a new man to help try and take their club to a better level.

After taking over at their new homes both clubs got off the mark with signings and have been busy in the transfer market. The Hammers have already signed three new players. Fredericks, Diop, and Fabianski, respectively.

The latest shows even more intent

After singing the two defenders and a new stopper, work was far from complete – with the front sector of the squad needing work. West Ham and Pellegrini have just announced the signing of former and longterm Gunner, Jack Wilshere.

The midfielder arrives on a free after refusing to renew his contract at the Emirates. According to reports – the central man will be followed by Ukraine winger, Yarmolenko. Two signings in one week, while only paying for one player at £17.66 million – outstanding business.

Here comes the kicker…

Out of all the new Hammers knocking it down in East London town, all seem to have made the public happy. But a link that has had mixed reviews is the possible return of Dimitri Payet.

It has been reported new boss Pellegrini has reached out for the advice of the older caps at the club and has been contemplating a move for old Hammer, Payet.

Will the fans be happy with the kicker?

Not sure because the player never left in style after arriving in style. This has given the transfer rumour a mixed review, some for and some against.

It’s not surprising – and should not be considered. A cult hero from the past, but West ham is heading in a new direction and do not want a repeat of the past. Manuel has dealt with players who threw their toys out of the cot for a move away from the club.

No repeat of this is needed. So this should stay a rumour, with a new and improved CAM to be looked at over Payet.
