World Cup: The tournament starts NOW for Southgate and England
Ready the social media army and the Twitter trolls as England line up for Columbia in their biggest match yet at the World Cup.
Yes, as the tournament progresses each game becomes more valuable than the next. It was proven the Three Lions were here to compete and passed phase one of the World Cup.
Now they have to follow-up by taking out a team who has really upped their game, game-by-game, through the three games of the group stages. They are considered a stronger opponent than the next contender in the quarterfinals.
England cruised through to reach the predicted second place of Group G and can be thankful they never met the nimble, kamikaze Japanese team, who just about lost their tie to Group G winners, Belgium.

Columbia, the Englishmen’s opponents were not convincing at the start of the tournament and started off with a loss to Japan, who we can honestly say was an unpredictable package at this World Cup. They did not repeat this and went on a qualifying run.
The Yellow Fever has a habit of showing up when others don’t in recent major events. It will be hard for England to break down their defence with Los Cafeteros only conceding two during the group stages.
In attack, the Columbian scored five goals across the three games, ending Poland’s dreams of marching on. They were pumping at 100 and were not going to be stopped by any Europeans or Africans.
Led by Falcao, Cuadrado and Quintero – Los Cafeteros are not be taken lightly. They are familiar with the English game and most of the English backline hasn’t had the pleasure of facing some of them on the footballing scene.

What happens at the end of it all?
If England lose – the trigger fingers will be firing all rounds, none stop! If they win, they prove there is life after having the league with the most foreigners in it. Which is said to be the kryptonite of England’s footballing abilities on world stage.
Their most meaningful game was a loss to rivals, Belgium. They must not eclipse this and show they have progressed from the kick and charge, English way of football.
