Transfer news: Bournemouth parts ways with winger Max Gradel
Making his stay in France a permanent one after a year-long loan, Max Gradel pens a new deal with Toulouse.
A transfer out is the first movement for the Cherries. How big the loss? Not that significant for the club because of the player’s age, coupled with the fact he was out on loan for a season prior to the move happening.
It comes as no surprise the French club who struggled last season, keeps a player who did fairly well considering their finish. As reported by BBC Sports, the forward scored eight goals out of their 38 in the league run.
Despite doing such a good job at the club, the side only finished an underwhelming 18th. What helped pushed the transfer through is the amount of players the French outfit is losing. One of the players on his way out of Ligue 1 and joining the Premier League is Issa Diop.
Right move for Bournemouth?

During the two spells the winger had at the Vitality stadium, the player made 59 appearances and only scored 12 goals. Less than convincing to say the least. The player did manage a worth-the-mention run during his time at Leeds United.
He scored 25 goals in 82 games in his three seasons at the club. This is why the fans adore the Ivorian so much. However, it’s safe to say – the forward’s best is behind him and at 30 years of age – a move to the French top league could be the best choice.
Not reaching the same heights in Howe’s Bournemouth side, when his side is need of goals, gives the manager enough reason to part ways with the forward.
His Cherries only managed to score 45 goals for the 2017-2018 season. Gradel’s eight league goals could have made all the difference. But a second, or third choice to the players ahead of him was not an option.

Many his age look for the most game time available to them. The Vitality side needs fresh, younger legs. Jermain Defoe, along with him can only provide backup and experience for the younger ones.
A good winger to accompany Joshua King, then the Cherries can avoid the same start they had last season.
