This offseason should be the biggest of Eden Hazard’s career. As he is competing for a strong Belgium side in the World Cup, many rumors are swirling about his future at Chelsea. The London club will be the biggest factor in where he plays next season.

There have been several transfers in the Premier League offseason so far. Chelsea, however, mostly just has gossip to show for. Something on everyone’s mind is guessing where Eden Hazard will be next year.

He stated recently “I do not want to stay if we are less good.” This shows that Chelsea must start making some moves to show they mean business.

When we think of teams making transfers, we usually assume they are talking about signing or selling players. However, bringing in a manager can be even more influential than anything to do with players.

That is why Chelsea’s likely signing of Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri bodes well for Hazard’s future. Sarri is a disruptive, savvy coach that can reinvigorate Chelsea. This is exactly what Hazard has been needing from his team. After Chelsea’s 5th place finish, it is evident that Conte’s leadership has made the club dull and lifeless.

Yes, Hazard did mention a possible move to Real Madrid. Still, odds are that this was just a warning shot to the Chelsea organization. It sounds like they heard him loud and clear.

Now there are reports that Sarri is interested in signing several players from Serie A for Chelsea. Among these are the skillful midfielders Miralem Pjanic and Jose Callejon. Who knows if these transfers will go through but they are certainly good indicators of what is to come. In fact, it has been stated that there will be an “exciting new era” for Chelsea.

It is true that Hazard dreams about winning the Champions League and Chelsea are currently in the Europa League. Still, what we will see in the near future should show that the Blues (together with Hazard) are going to seriously improve their game.
