The beginning of the new look
In the beginning of this new look, he wants to make Portugal’s midfield star, William Carvalho his first signing at Everton. Silva has worked with the Euro 2016 winner at Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese manager sees Carvalho as a huge part of his plans for next season.
William Carvalho was one of the most-wanted footballers in Europe when he helped Portugal to lift the European Championship in 2016. He has since made clear his desire to come to the Premier League. A move to West Ham collapsed last season, but he is determined to leave Sporting this summer.
Next: Toffees taste bittersweet
The midfield enforcer is known for being a robust tackler. He also possesses a good range of passing and is tactically astute. Carvalho could provide the much-needed backbone that was missing from Everton’s midfield at times last season.
Other than the Blues of Merseyside, few other teams in the Premier League are monitoring Carvalho’s situation at Sporting. This gives evidence to one important factor, things are looking promising to see the midfielder in the Premier League.
