Tottenham, one of the teams having to play to the final day of the campaign in search of saving yet another, derailing campaign.

Newcastle could make Spurs’ fight for a Champions League spot extremely difficult and add pressure to their already, demanding situation. The home side has a chance to jump out of reach from the team below [Chelsea] and overtake Liverpool in the process – forcing them to drop down to fourth.

Chelsea will be the team hoping more for a Newcastle victory as the Blues continue on a flawless run of five games. If they fail against their opponents this evening and Chelsea get the victory in their tie – Spurs lose their place in the race.

Nothing much can come from this fixture for the Toon Army. They sit equal on points with Crystal Palace, but ahead on goal difference. Leicester fight to achieve a similar goal when they take on Arsenal for points to stay out of Newcastle’s reach.

The higher the finish, the more money received at the end of the season. Well in Rafa’s situation – does he really care if Mike Ashley gets the money? He doesn’t get any funding for transfers, so should he worry?
