The continuous case of Jack Wilshere at boyhood club, Arsenal keeps taking turns and bends all while his contract reaches its final stages.

First a big WELL DONE to Jack Wilshere for having a longer run of games, that automatically turned into a great run of games. He has barely put a foot wrong, while perfectly inserting his right foot in Wenger’s mouth, all while firmly inserting his other foot into the owners backside as well.

Remember the Gunners’ midfielder’s start to this season, end of last season, start of last season, and everything that happened in between? (You get where I’m going with this) Wilshere’s injury problems has been no secret to one and all – making his footballing life a bit worrying at the moment.

After the carousel seized to spin in the latter days of Jack’s career, after being injured all, or most of the time – the player was told by the manager [Wenger] to prove it or move it. This was a wee bit before the winter window opened during January.

Prior to the manager’s displeasement of the Englishman’s luckless injury problems, he was not allowed to go out on loan – which was a huge possibility before the 2017-2018 campaign got under way.

How the table has turned again?

Boy! Wasn’t Arsene really glad with his decision to keep him at the Emirates. Jack Wilshere has been one of the few positives the Frenchman can look back at this term. Having a fantastic European run and forcing his way back into Arsenal’s Premier League starting eleven is nothing short of great.

Although, doing such a great job you would think, ‘hey here Jack gets a new contract with a nice pay increase’. Wrong! Not at all the deal that’s been laid on the table for the player involved. A pay-by-play clause and a pay cut is being slammed on the table for the midfielder.

More from Arsenal

Yes it is a massive risk and sometimes a major liability to keep a player considered ‘injury prone’. However, to push away a boyhood hero and a player filled with Jack’s talent – comes across as braindead.

This is how hard it is to call this standoff. Wilshere, like Daniel Sturridge, has all the talent in the world to be a world beater. They were the hottest prospects with Wilshere being labeled as the next Three Lions captain.

All these points displays the difficulties in deciding on whether to keep the Englishman or not. For Jack a fresh start with better training methods could be just the right call.

What is Jack Wilshere’s best option?

I’d say his best option is to leave. Leave after his contract has run out. Many clubs have been monitoring the situation and waiting for the right time to step in.

Once word hits the street he isn’t signing – the masses will come running. He needs somebody better than Wenger to lead him back to the light of the days when he was dubbed to be the next England captain.

For the club – they have no leg to stand on. They should be doing everything in their power to keep the quality at the club. What they doing here is the total opposite. Therefore showing their own player – the faith in him has left the Emirates.
