Arsenal: This must be Arsene Wenger’s swan song at the Emirates
The story that never dies, surrounding the man who never surrenders to the cries of the fans, who are in search of an evolution from the dismal demonstrations they’ve come accustomed to watching.
When watching the turmoil Wenger, the board, and the fans are experiencing over at the Emirates, it reminds me of a time Liverpool reached a state of emergency and became a laughing-stock worldwide.
As a Liverpool supporter I can relate to the frustration when I saw what Liverpool had gone through – watching my heroes walk out of the club I love. Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano, and others gave us enough evidence we were going backwards.
No silverware, a sad and an uninspired way of football – shoot me please, I cannot bear to watch anymore. Now, only some things has seen change. No silverware yes (and a very slim chance of getting that this season) but the cook manifesting a feast fit for Jack, from Jack and the beanstalk – is the style of football we get to enjoy.

A manager that matches the club’s passion, coupled with owners who have shown investment upon investment – in their charismatic man in the driver’s seat. This was missing from the club for some time and was reinstalled over the past few years. The reception for the new man was as mutual as the acceptance for the job.
This is something that would see a massive spike in performances and results, if it were to happen at the Emirates. If they want that elusive Champions League, and league title – they need to revolutionise the club’s football. The tools are there – a major concern is the person manning those tools.
Outdated perhaps? Yes to me he is, along with Jose Mourinho. Do the fans deserve fresh ideas? Yes, even the poor players! Although, they do have a major hand to play in the downgrade in performances.
