Another potentially world-class player takes leave from Anfield. Emre Can is the latest of the two cast-away players to finally agree a move to join Italian giants, Juventus.
Liverpool’s had quite the negative first week in the winter window. Losing arguably, their best player to La Liga giants, Barcelona. Move a few days on and they lose another player who’s important to the club’s future.
The writing’s been on the wall far too long with the player and the club unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. It was barely visible to see the player and the club were not on good terms, after the midfielder turned in several masterful performances for the Reds.

With Emre, Wijnaldum and whoever else operated with the two in the middle of the park – Liverpool possessed a skilful, strong and young midfield. When at the peak of their powers, they could barely be stopped.
This news doesn’t serve as great news for a club certainly on the rise – after already losing Coutinho. The club and the manager Klopp, has tried their utmost best to convince the player to stay at the club . Klopp and the club have also tried to emphasis Liverpool’s not a stepping stone, but a last destination for players.

Emre Can’s transfer to Juventus:
Happily for Klopp and squad, they get to enjoy Emre for the remainder of the season, as the player will only join once the campaign draws to an end. Although, the biggest downfall – he leaves on a free.
Nothing has been casted in stone – with reports only coming out of Italy about the German international. As said with many transfers, a lot can change between now and the end the of the season.
Receiving nothing for the Germany midfielder, is nothing short of poor business dealings by the Liverpool committee. It could be a blessing in disguise for the Anfield club. They could achieve many things while he’s there and they somehow convince him to stay.
Can is easily worth between £50 to £80 million, it must sit as a real blow to Klopp to lose him on a whole. Can has been an important figure for the Reds while their captain has been out and while doubling up as defensive midfielder.

Liverpool look as if they’ve taken a couple of steps backwards after making tremendous progress. He will be a major loss to the Merseyside outfit. More should be done to try and keep him at the club, even though he’s agreed personally to join The Old Lady.
