Simon Mignolet: 5 out of 10.

For the opening 45 minutes, Mignolet was quite sound, though he didn’t have a whole lot to deal with as Liverpool were the far better side in the opening half.  He only technically recorded one save on the stats sheet, which came off of a cheeky attempt from an Alexis Sanchez effort aimed at the near post which Mignolet nearly coughed up.  The Belgian’s effort to punch clear Xhaka’s screamer was quite abysmal and will certainly resurface any concerns that Klopp has towards his number one option in goal.  Perhaps Loris Karius should get a shout on Boxing Day vs. Swansea City?

Andrew Robertson: 6.5 out of 10

It was another solid shift for the Scottish international who, before the injury to Alberto Moreno, has found minutes in the squad hard to come by.  He did well to both get forward and track back at the right times and dealt with the pace of Alex Iwobi quite well.  At times, he was also forced to deal with an interchanging [of flanks] Alexis Sanchez.  His service into Arsenal’s penalty area was menacing, too; a part of his game that many agree might put him a step ahead of Moreno.

Dejan Lovren: 7 out of 10.

Didn’t do a lot wrong, but didn’t really do anything exceptional either, except for not making any colossal errors as he has done on numerous occasions this season.  Both he and Emre Can lead Liverpool in completed tackles (Can had 6, Lovren had 4) and were 100% with their attempted tackles.  Lovren also won more aerial challenges (8) than anyone else in the match and was a commanding presence in that regard.  He was, however, out-muscled quite easily by Alexandre Lacazette, who played a perfectly weighted layoff to Ozil for Arsenal’s third goal.

More from Liverpool FC

Ragnar Klavan: 6 out of 10.

Not much more to say about his performance other than pretty bang average.  He plays pretty conservatively, but on the rare occasion he’s guilty of trying to do something too difficult, and he did wander forward kind of aimlessly on a few occasions, leaving plenty of spaces behind for Arsenal to attack.  Like the majority of his teammates, he looked relatively shell-shocked in the second half during Arsenal’s four-minute onslaught and it took them a brief while to settle back down and reorganize themselves at the back.

Joe Gomez: 5 out of 10

He had done so well for the majority of the match, but he was guilty of being too slow to react and lapsing in concentration for Arsenal’s first and third goals.  On the first, he lost track of Sanchez just outside of the six-yard box before the Chilean struck the back of the net and for Arsenal’s 3rd goal (Ozil’s), Gomez looked too concerned with not conceding a penalty rather than actually trying to get a foot in on Ozil.  Other than those two hiccups, Gomez continued on his fine run of form, but those two hiccups were incredibly costly for Liverpool – three points at the Emirates would have been massive.
