Another Egyptian player making headlines, Ahmed Hegazi, who’s just signed a permanent deal with West Brom after only being on loan for six months at the club.
It appears the first transfer has been completed prematurely before the January window has opened. And it appears to be Alan Pardew doing the business after just recently joining his new club.
What a way to spoil Baggies fans ahead of a busy festive period. Yes, it’s not a brand new signing, but it is an assuring signing nonetheless. Before this deal was confirmed earlier today, Hegazi turned heads with some fancy football and solid defending in his maiden season in the English Premier League.
His most recent brilliance was shown when he and the West Brom side nullified a ruthless Liverpool to no goals and left Anfield with a point to build on. Short lived however, after Man United came to the Hawthorns and beat them by a one goal margin.

Ahmed Hegazi start to life in the English Premier League:
A man West Brom and Pardew need to thank is ex-manager, Tony Pulis. The reason this man was here initially is because of the sacked manager.
“I am very happy with the club and very happy to be part of this group of players.
“I know the results are not what we would want at the moment. But there is great spirit here and I am sure that we will turn the results in our favour before long.”
He gave the Egyptian defender a go from the first game of the Premier League and was rewarded with three points. The only goal of the game was also a debut goal for the big defender, Hegazi.
Not even some of the new club’s striker signings achieved this on the day. It was surely a sign he was about to have a great season in the English Premier League.
West Brom’s league position doesn’t do justice to this transfer, but it makes all the sense in the world.
If they were to show the same compact style they showed against Klopp’s side, results will get better for them. And a transfer such as this man, was a step towards that.
The permanent deal to West Brom:
As reported by Sky Sports, West Brom and Pardew moved swiftly and attained their option to make the deal permanent from Al Ahly and bought the player for an undisclosed fee.
The player signing means he’s contracted to the Hawthorns until 2022 and is said to be an important part of the plans for West Brom moving forward.
He welcomes the deal and hopes the fans are happy to hear the exciting news. Who knows, Ahmed Hegazi could become one of the better defenders in the Premier League.
West Brom’s next fixture is a must win, as they go up against a struggling Stoke City. This could be the perfect lift for the club, ahead of a clash that could help their stay in the Premier League.
