Manchester City has been in top form this season. Sitting top of the table in their league and in their UCL group stage – they look a force to be reckoned with.

Pep Guardiola has finally found a system that should be awarded. With De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus putting on a spectacular performance and all around excellence in the Champions League – sitting top of the table would be an understatement.

This does not only show player consistency but also a stable back-line. Every player has gotten involved during their games which adds to their flare and individuality.

With De Bruyne on the field, it’s as if City are playing with 12 men. His versatility and sharpness on and off the ball makes him a crucial piece to Pep’s side. Sitting alongside Silva in the attacking midfield area, it allows them to feed both wingers while getting involved with the attack at the same time.

Kevin explains his success after City’s win against Leicester by saying:

"“It’s all about how the team plays and the way that the team is playing makes it easier for me.“Obviously, I think it is a type of football that is good for me as a player individually, but I think also, the way that the team is playing makes it easier for everybody.“Everybody knows what they need to do and everybody has their own quality.“It would not only be me, it’s just the way we are playing that people appreciate, the style of playing.“Obviously, everyone has their own style but, from a neutral point of view, everyone likes to see the way that we are playing.”"

Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has also praised Pep for his efforts:

"“But Guardiola’s style of arranging the team, passing the ball and the beautiful game that everybody likes to watch, means it would be a pleasure for any player to have the honour to play for him.”"

Manchester City has grown to be a club that will be a force going forward in all competitions. Teams should be on the look out for nifty plays from City’s maestro’s; Silva, and De Bruyne.

Now that John Stones is injured, Pep will need to find a stable replacement for the centre-back going into the clash between Feyenoord. This will test Guardiola’s squad depth and quality.

With Kompany also on the watch list, Pep will most likely have to turn to Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolás Otamendi – who was away on a domestic ban.
